An 11th‑grade Commerce student building a strong foundation in Accountancy and Business Studies, with a creative edge in visual design and marketing on the side.
Numbers, design and a family business — the three things shaping how I think.
I'm Kavya Malvi, an 11th‑grade Commerce student under the GSEB board, learning the language of numbers through Accountancy and the mechanics of enterprise through Business Studies.
Growing up around my family's brass manufacturing business, I've always been curious about how a single ledger entry connects all the way down to a factory floor. It's part of why Commerce felt like the natural stream for me.
Outside textbooks, I like editing photos and putting together simple product ad concepts — turning a plain idea into something worth a second look.
Two subjects sit at the core of my GSEB Commerce syllabus — the rest are skills I've picked up alongside them.
Comfortable working through journal entries, ledgers, trial balance and final account problems from the GSEB Class XI Accountancy syllabus.
Studying the fundamentals of business — forms of organisation, trade, and management concepts — as part of the Class XI Commerce curriculum.
Enjoy retouching and composing photos — adjusting light, colour and layout to make an image ready to share.
Curious about how products are presented and sold — putting together simple ad concepts and promotional ideas.
Note — Accountancy and Business Studies are marked as GSEB core subjects because they're formally part of the Class XI Commerce stream syllabus. Photo Editing and Product Advertising are self‑developed skills alongside academics.
My first real look inside a business — where the concepts I study actually happen.
During my 10th‑standard vacation, I spent time at my father's company, Akshar Brass Industries, learning how our family's brass manufacturing business actually runs — from the shop floor to how orders and day‑to‑day operations come together. It gave me an early, hands‑on feel for the business world I'm now studying in Commerce.
